
2008 F/W "The Girl Who Lived in the Tree" Strapless Dress
This strapless dress with original tag from the "The Girl Who Lived in the Tree" collection was prominently showcased in the "Alexander McQueen: Mind, Mythos, Muse" exhibition at LACMA and NGV Museum. Inspired by the 600-year-old elm tree in his garden, he made up a story about a girl who lives in it and comes out of the darkness to meet a prince and become a queen.

- Bodice & hem edged in organza
- Bubble skirt
- Concealed back hook and zip closure, inner corset zipper closure

- 65% silk, 35% cotton lining - 100% silk
- Alexander McQueen, Made in Italy, with original tag
- Good condition - Small textured mark underneath the organza trim front left (photo 1) various pulls & marks to the fabric which blend into the embroidery somewhat (see photos for condition), large pull on dress front centre right (photo 9 for detail)
